I
have always been here before
"Why
are you driving when you can fly?" she said. "Don't you love
to fly? I love it, it's the sexiest thing there is."
"This is a religious journey," I said "planes aren't religious
yet. Cars are religious. Maybe planes will be next."
- "Planes are sexy"- "That's right, the way cars used to
be. But cars are religious now and this is a religious trip." (De
Lillo)
You
know that split-second between virginity and the moment you lose it, the
instance just before a car-crash, or when you find a bitemark on your
hip and the soundtrack is a scratched record where the needle keeps jumping
back to that same slice of sound?
The intensity of a moment can make you loose your head for times to come,
or maybe make you see things in a way you have never felt before. It can
be a harsh or hilarious experience.
This is a hallucinatory, desperate and euphoric state where you don't
always have control, being
messed up for different reasons, be it fast cars, love or drugs.
This is about tries, failures and hopes, about the loss of innocence and
destroying ideas, about growing up and coming down.
